Hadja, who belongs to the Bozo tribe, lives with her eight children in Mopti, Mali. The Bozo tribe lives primarily from fishing in the river Niger.
As a necessary addition to her income Hadja makes colourfull bracelets out of old flip flops, the daily shoes of most of the population.
Hadja makes these bracelets in the most beautiful colour combinations. s t a r f i s h has brought the bracelets to Europe to sell them for her and we have brought them here for you.
